Just like the last time I did Ohmiya drabbles; I used only the time span of the song playing to write the drabble. It was very difficult! hehe! I also included download links for the songs that were playing; just in case anyone wanted them! :)
1. Hating you for what you were.
(Bonus Mosh Pt. 2 – Taking Back Sunday)
“I said not to walk away from me!” I stopped in my tracks when I heard his voice echo down the hall. He was right, he had asked that of me; but there was no way I was going to stay after the things that had just passed. It was a normal day; all destroyed by a kiss I’m sure I wasn’t supposed to see. I stood only for a moment more before walking away from everything that I knew my life to be.
2. Careless in Our Summer Clothes.
(Hang Me Out to Dry – Cold War Kids)
“I can hear you sighing… what’s wrong with you?” I asked, when he sighed for the fourth time in my ear. He was always like a little boy when we were alone. He pulled himself onto his elbow so that he was hovering right above my tired face.
“You always sleep in so much…I just want you to be more…comfortable.” I could hear the smirk in his voice even without my eyes open.
“By comfortable you mean…” I started and trailed off as he started to kiss down my throat. It was times like this when I truly appreciate weekends. Only seconds ago I felt tired beyond recognition…and now I couldn't be more awake. All the nerves in my body were dancing like they were being shocked. Like jumping a car engine…with much less effort.
3. Will Song Turn to Silence?
(Only Got One – Frou Frou)
It wasn’t quite light out yet. The fog still filled the streets with a mystical haze. However, the best part was the quiet. There were songs being whistled by birds as they flew by, but there were no cars. No one screaming through the cell phones and no dull static of their daily lives. It was the best time to see each other, Nino had always thought. They would meet at the same park bench in Ueno Park every Sunday morning; when it was guaranteed that they wouldn’t have to go in for work.
Nino was a tad early this morning so he thought he would have to sit and wait for Ohno. Since he wasn’t good with the mornings. However, when he rounded the corner that led to the park bench – Ohno was already there. When Nino thought about it later, it must have been the biggest smile he had ever shown anyone.
4. Small Lies Begin to Surface
(I Believe (Eng. Version)– Ayaka)
“You believe me, right? If anyone would believe me…it’s you.” He brushed his black hair out of his eyes. It was getting too long; it was about time to cut it. The stray thought blew out of hi mind almost as soon as it came. The person who stood in front of him right now was the priority. He lover stood in front of him, tears pouring freely from his eyes; the dreaded tabloid clenched into his right fist.
“Should I believe you? I don’t know what’s more convincing…you or these pictures…” He said. His voice dangerously low. The pain in his chest was too much to ignore. The man with the black hair took one step forward; while the other took two steps back.
“Stop.” Nino said. Looking up at his lover, his best friend, his every positive adjective. Except at the moment, he wasn’t any of those things. Right now he was Ohno, the liar. At least that’s what his heart told him.
He dropped the newspaper on the hardwood floor and walked away. Leaving Ohno staring at his retreating back until he could no longer see him.
